To address the multiple challenges in running village temples, we have taken up the project of providing comprehensive monthly support to run temples & using digital transfer, for the following services:

In addition to ~50 temples where Oil seva is provided for the last 4 years, we have successfully run the full Temple Seva initiative at 3 temples in the last 3 years & have seen visible difference, our efforts have made, in the temple’s revival.
Thavil & Nadaswaram Musicians we support, are currently playing their instruments in 3 temples, for the last 3 years.
We’ve also identified opportunities for Odhuvars to sing at Temples, with active Donor support.
This monthly support will ease the financial burden of the Temple Servants/Tradition Keepers, who have been left to fend for themselves to run the temples entirely on their own.
Making such temples vibrant with spiritual activity will result in increased Footfall & revive interest among locals & promote our Dharma vibrantly.
Our support to Thavil & Nadaswaram musicians to play the instruments in the temples is expected to help revive the dying art of Thavil & Nadaswaram.
We have received testimonials from several Archakars, who narrate how our initiatives helped in conduct of daily Pooja rituals, increase devotees footfall & ease the financial burden to run a Temple.
We ensure efficient & transparent execution of these services through digital transfers to the beneficiaries identified.

Bhoomeswarar – Kunnam, Sirkazhi
This temple has historical significance as this is the holy place where Goddess Bhoomadevi did penance & offered prayers to Lord Shiva for 12 years to protect Earth & bless devotees. This is also the place where Sage Parashurama got relief from Mathru Hathya Dosham. Also Lord Vinayaka blessed Lord Mahavishnu & Sri Mahalakshmi to be re-united, after their sincere penance.
For a temple with such significance, the temple lacked proper care with minimal pooja, low devotees footfall, irregular visits by the priest and lacked attention from Temple administration. On average, 2-3 people visited the temple on normal days & 5-10 people on auspicious days. Noticing this situation, we worked with the priest to understand challenges & steps needed to remediate the situation.
As a first step towards revival, Oil package was arranged to be delivered at the temple each month starting Jan 2025 , so the lamps could be lit for the main deities and there’s adequate illumination preventing darkness. Next, the Pradosham ritual was reinstated with adequate arrangements done for Pooja & monetary assistance to the priest. This received decent support from locals & over period of 3 months, the temple saw increased devotees footfall of ~30 people on auspicious days and ~10 people on other days. Special poojas were arranged for Kandha Sashti, Vinayaka Chaturthi & Ashtami festivals, which attracted good crowds. Delicious Prasadam was served on all auspicious days which got good response from locals.
To further accelerate locals participation, Vilakku Pooja was arranged in Sep, which attracted 100+ devotees who actively participated & reveled in the whole experience. They’ve requested for the Vilakku Pooja to be conducted every 4-6 months, which shows high enthusiasm & voluntary interest,
This was followed by Annabhishegam in November, which also attracted 100+ devotees & active contribution & participation from locals. So the temple is now being revived at grassroots through right support from us and enabling locals to take better ownership of temple activities.
Here are few pics & videos of key events, which illustrates how the situation has changed in the last 1 year.

Vadarangam Jambukeswarar & Bala Ranganthar Temples
This temple is situated 7 kms from Kunnam Bhoomeswarar Temple and on the banks of Kollidam river. Asura Vikraman had become unstoppable after obtaining the powers to kill all Devas. Answering the prayers of the Devas, Lord Vishnu is believed to have come here and defeated him much to the delight of the Devas. Cauvery got liberated from Agastya’s curse and re-united with her husband Samudra Raja at this place. Hence, this is said to be a prarthana Sthalam for re-union of husband-wife. Legend has it that Sage Vashista directed Vishwakarma to visit this place and design the temple architecture.
To oversee the performance of temple seva activities, our team of dharmiks conduct periodic visits to the temples & interact with the local community to source on-ground feedback.
Once the seva begins, we establish Devotee Groups for each temple to stay connected to temple activities & local devotees.
With the Grace of Almighty, we would like to upscale the temple ecosystem revival initiatives, intending to cover more number of temple servants/tradition keepers in the coming months & years.
Look forward to your valuable support.
